In the 1800s, people said in jewelry what they could not say aloud.
Victorians engraved coins with names, dates, images and secret messages — love tokens, each one commissioned for one person, once. Together they record an era - a century of love in its many forms, preserved coin by coin.
The practice tapered off a century ago, but its legacy endures through our work: 5,000 love tokens collected over the last decade and twenty customizable bezel styles — innumerable ways to tell your love story with these antiques.
We restore them, catalog them and — together with you — set them into heirlooms that carry the old story forward and begin yours. The meaning of a love token is always in the eye of the beholder.
Where the antique record runs out, we invent: a twice-patented combination lock that opens only on its hidden word, and zodiac pendants drawn from the storytelling ironwork of New Orleans. The same language, new sentences.
These are the stories we tell. Let's tell yours.
Each piece is a collaboration
Tell us the initials, the date, the words you wish someone had engraved for you. We search the vault — nearly 5,000 Victorian love tokens, each engraved by hand more than a century ago — and set the one that tells your story in a bezel made just for you.
Commissions begin at $3,000
